Update Exe From Small Business Software Solutions Update Exe can update all file types and multiple files. (I am currently using it in a production environment to check and update an Exe's, an ActiveX exe and four printing Dll files when a user starts my program) Update Exe will check to see if the file you have chosen as the file to run after update is complete is already running. You can use Update Exe without choosing a file to run. This will run only the update function. (If a file that you have chosen for update is in use then it is skipped) Update Exe will only update a file if the update's version number is higher than the file it is replacing. Update Exe can be run in two modes. 1. Regular. 2. Command line. Running in regular mode This will run the update and execute portion of the program only. This is the preferred way to run after the setup from command line has been run. You can use this mode to check and update your program then run the program by changing the path for your program icon to point at the Update Exe. Run the setup from command line and point the Update Exe at the program you would like to run after the updates are complete. Running from command line When running the compiled exe from command line you have two options. 1.Without arguments. - This will run the update and execute portion of the program. 2.With the 'S' argument. - This will run the setup portion of the program. Instructions for using the setup are on the setup form.
