Did you get an error message when you tried to drag it to your Form?

Well as a general rule if its shown in the Components list then its registered but there is no harm in registering the activex again with

Run: regsvr32 your.dll or your.ocx

and you will recieve a message says if it registered correctly or not. Thats providing its located in the Win\Sys folder. If its somewhere else then you have to use the full path then the filename.

To be truthful you only need to register a dll or ocx when you use it in VB IDE and not all dll's have to be registered either.

Can you give us the filename of this activex.  Wink

Thanx a lot Keithuk for your co-operation

I already registed all DLL and OCX.

the activex is  SITOCX, The file name of this activex is SIFinger.ocx and this is the file which i added in the component and dragged to the form.

The scanner name is Identix.

Thanx a lot and have a nice day

Ok now its registered but can you do anything with the control on your Form? I've never heard of SIFinger.ocx so I did a web search and nothing comes back so I tried SIFinger and your same post in VBCity pops up. Wink
